From Artifact: The Dota Card Game Wiki
Jump to: navigation, search

Hey there. I usually work on maintaining Dota 2 Wiki and adding new content, but I'll be focusing effort here to make sure everything runs smoothly. I'll be moving any "card art" to "card image" as the "card art" name should be used for actual, full hero art (not the card image). Discuss any objections or support, thanks. Russian section of wiki[edit source]

Hello! I am waiting for Artifact as well as you and highly interested in developing russian resources for the game. Therefore, I want to start preparing Artifact wiki in russian language before the actual release to get all the basics covered and not be overwhelmed with content at release. I am a member of STS (Steam Translation Server), worked with WoW English -> Russian translation before for community websites. So, the question is: are you okay if I start creating russian copies of the pages we have currently? Moonk1n

Hi Moonk1n, you're welcome to start translating existing pages to Russian. Please refer to the Translation Guidelines for convention. For this wiki, an example Russian translation should be created at artifact.gamepedia.com/Cards/ru. Try to translate core mechanics pages until I can set up a proper templating system for actual cards, so the backend tables aren't mixed with English and Russian versions of cards. Skin redesign[edit source]

Hello. I've been assigned to redesign the skin of this wiki. I apologize for the late notice, as they'd like the new skin up during the day tomorrow, but I wanted to wait until I had enough complete for a preview of what I've been working on. You can take a look by copying my user stylesheet to yours. There are some issues caused by conflicts between the skin preview and existing skin, the most obvious being the share menu, and it's not fully completed yet as well. I'll be finishing it up over the night tonight.

At least one thing I'm debating changing is going back to a faded gold shade for the link colors, but this is more or less what I'm planning the final skin to look like. OOeyes (talk) 17:32, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Looks great - but the top banner seems far too large from the preview I'm looking at. Sanhard (talk) 20:23, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I think that's it. At least, I didn't notice anything on final spot checks. Header is smaller, and infobox alignment is fixed. Feel free to leave me a message if you see anything I missed. OOeyes (talk) 12:42, 6 September 2018 (UTC)

Beta updates[edit source]

Hey, should we create pages with latest game updates? And how we should name articles - November 21, 2018 Patch (as in dotawiki) or November 21, 2018 Update? --15:30, 22 November 2018 (UTC) The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dark2Eagle (talk) • (contribs) • Please sign your posts with ~~~~

We should. I'll try to create the templates for it and setup the mainpage by the end of the day. Sanhard (talk) 15:33, 22 November 2018 (UTC)
it'd be great) still waiting a week to join this wiki editing --Dark2Eagle (talk) 15:43, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

about patch template - try to steal dota2:MediaWiki:Common.js (i can't edit these pages) --Dark2Eagle (talk) 02:44, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

What do you need the js for? I'm aware of the parser function not working correctly, hoping to have it sorted before release. -- Sanhard (talk) 08:57, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
template uses variable var from js --Dark2Eagle (talk) 20:33, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Nothing from the javascript file powers the patch templates. Are you talking about the ParserFunction {{#var:}}? I don't believe I need to copy anything more across. -- Sanhard (talk) 20:39, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
